There is a new LEGO-related competition reality show coming to FOX TV in the US, based on the LEGO MASTERS show that has been a big success in the UK and Australia. They’re looking for contestants. If you’re interested, read on.
Note, I am not getting anything for posting this, just interested in seeing it be a good show! I’ve thought about applying myself, but I can’t justify taking the time off work and don’t have a build partner for it. However, maybe you and a friend or family member might want to give it a try. I wanted to reach out as I’m a casting producer for FOX’s new show LEGO MASTERS and we’re currently casting contestants. We’re looking for teams of two amateur LEGO builders, and we’d love to find family members or spouses or best friends that have the skills to create original LEGO builds.
LEGO MASTERS first launched in the UK and recently became a bit hit in Australia. On the show, twelve teams of two compete against each other in ambitious brick-building challenges and an unlimited supply of LEGO bricks. In each episode, the competing pairs who impress the judges the most will progress to the next round, until the finale, during which the three top teams will face off for the ultimate LEGO trophy and the grand title of LEGO MASTERS.
We’re looking for people that feel confident in building original creations in a vein similar to the challenges on the Australia and UK versions of the show. There are quite a few clips online that we encourage potential contestants to watch, which can be found by searching LEGO MASTERS on YouTube!
The time commitment for the show is roughly 7 weeks – and shooting would likely start on October 28th in the Los Angeles area. All the costs for travel and accommodation would be covered by production and there will be a small stipend provided to contestants every week that they remain in the competition. There will also be a major cash prize, though the exact amount has not been announced yet.
