This modern low-floor bus provides easy entry and exit for all minifigs. The doors are mocked up – they don’t actually move but can be posed in either open or closed position.

LEGO Models that I have created
Class C Motorhome
Tour the country in comfort in this luxurious model. Sleeps three minifigs: one above the cab and two in the rear. Includes a complete galley for cooking meals on the road, and television over the rear bed which is connected to a satellite dish on the roof.
Dump Truck with Trailer
Another way of transporting sand and gravel is a dump truck with a trailer. First the truck dumps its own load, then the hopper on the trailer is moved into that of the truck, and it can then dump that one as well. This is a fairly common design, at least in my part of the world.
Garbage Truck
My Garbage Truck gathers up all the MegaBloks and other unwanted material from the LEGO town.
Street Sweeper
Designed around the brush from the LEGO Car Wash, this truck provides an important civic service.
Truck with Zodiac Boat
Another boat entry, this ordinary one-piece LEGO inflatable boat is
improved with the addition of a control console and outboard motor.
Van and Sailboat
Another boat and vehicle combination, this sailboat sits high on its trailer but if you remove the keel it looks good on a blue baseplate representing water.
Yellow Hopper Truck
In 2002 I built two versions of this yellow hopper truck. You can see both versions in the albums below.
4-4-0 “American”
This is my first ever LEGO locomotive model and I’m very pleased with the result. It is a 4-4-0 (4 leading wheels, 4 driving wheels, and 0 wheels under the cab) “American” classic steam engine uses the old LEGO wheels from the “maxifig” era. It can be pushed on straight track, but any curves or switches derail it instantly. Yellow represents brass.
Passenger Transport
This hybrid rocket/jet aircraft takes off and lands like a plane, and the engines switch to rocket mode to reach orbit, where it docks with a space station or the Lunar Tour Vehicle for their next destination.
Lunar Tour Vehicle
Part bus, part spacecraft, this vessell meets up with the Passenger Transport in Earth orbit and ferries them to the moon, where they can spend a week visiting the Apollo landing zones and other historical and natural wonders.
SC-01 Prospector
This scout craft visits asteroids and takes samples for analysis, so that if it should prove suitable, mining craft can come and extract minerals from them.

PB4Y-2 Privateer
This model is dedicated to the memory of my father, Robert H. Ward, who flew the PB4Y-2 on flare-dropping missions during the Korean War in the early 1950’s. He passed away on November 9, 2001. I built it in the fall of 2001. He never got to see it, but it was on display at his memorial service.

These little guys are miniature robots or mecha, made as an experiment in getting new uses from some rather specialized parts.
Germany 2001: LEGO at Holger’s
In August 2001, I was sent to Germany on a business trip by my employer. I had posted on the discussion forum on 1000steine.de: “any German LEGO fans want to meet me?”.
