October 28, 2001: PB4Y-2 Privateer
Thursday, July 19th, 2007This model is dedicated to the memory of my father, Robert H. Ward, who flew the PB4Y-2 on flare-dropping missions during the Korean War in the early 1950’s. He passed away on November 9, 2001. I built it in the fall of 2001. He never got to see it, but it was on display at his memorial service.
I brought this model to the October 2001 and January 2002 BayLUG meetings. I took pictures from those meetings, which can be seen on my site.
